February 3rd marks the last day that employers may file, electronically, employer payroll reports, as well as information regarding domestic and foreign dividends. For individuals, today is also the day that the second installment of 2013 back taxes is due.
If Periodic tax returns from the 2013 seafarer employers’ contributions and lottery tax, and employers’ contributions and other withheld taxes on insurance premiums, were submitted on paper forms, today is the last day that they will be accepted. If you are an employee who works for tips, February 10th is the day that you must report January’s tips to your employee. This only applies to employees who made $20 or more in tips in January.
For the same people and taxes (seafarers, lottery tax, employers’ contributions, withheld taxes) that were due via paper on February 7th, any electronic Periodic tax returns are due this day..
Monthly Payroll Tax Deposit is due today. Also, it is the last day to file the annual information report. The report details interest payments that have been withheld.
If you are an individual who claimed an exemption from an income tax withholding last year on your W-4, you must file your new W-4 by this date if you want your exemption to be renewed for another year. If you don’t file by today, the exemption will expire.

If a business engaged in the selling of any goods or services in the European Union for the year of 2013, this is the date where the VAT EU Recapitulative Statement, detailing those sales, is due. 2/2o also marks the day that the annual information return on trade union dues and premiums for unemployment insurance is due.
If you are prepaying on your income tax, that prepayment is due this date. It’s also the last day to file the annual information return, which reports upon the borrowing of shareholders.
If you are a taxpayer on an agricultural farm, real estate consortia, forestry, or forestry/agricultural consortia, today is the last day to file your income tax return. All businesses must all file information returns for specific payments made during 2013 (i.e., 1099 forms).
